The process of agriculture has both good and adverse reactions on our earth and its environment. The influence of agriculture is the outcome of several farming efforts that can significantly be based on the country which is under observation. However, the unbelievable fact is that there are many crucial environmental troubles linked to agriculture, which includes incredible weather change, lifeless zones, genetic engineering, pollutants, deforestation, soil degradation, waste, and plenty of others.

Agriculture also has a big effect on the ecosystems surrounding it. Several sorts of agriculture additionally use fertilization and pesticides that liberate phosphorus and nitrate in air, out of different things. This can have an immensely terrible effect on the fine soil, air, and water. It also can affect the biodiversity of our planet. Hence there are various negative influences in terms of environmental and agricultural concerns.

Deforestation:

The major environmental and agricultural concerns include deforestation. You might have seen several conversations going on regarding deforestation. A new evaluation has shown that each year, commercial agriculture supplies deforestation in over 5 million area units of woodland lands. Despite ventures made to lessen deforestation, the quantity of woodland land taken over through industrially precious crops, like palm oil trees, has remained consistent from 2001 to 2015. For thousands of years, trees have been cut down in a huge amount for agricultural purposes and human use.

However, it is very hard to examine the accurate quantity of the trees that have been cut down but on average it is discovered that over 3.5 to 7 billion trees are cut down due to agricultural and other purposes. It can be assumed that, the more we are losing trees, the more we are going toward environmental disaster.

Land Erosion:

Another adverse impact of agriculture on the environment is soil degradation or land erosion. Soil erosion is the lack of land’s manufacturing potential in the sense of lack of soil fertility, soil degradation, and biodiversity. As described by the United Nations, in the latest report, nearly 1/3 of the world’s cultivable soil has vanished in the ultimate 4 decades, which is a huge loss for us as a humanity. It was further stated that each one of the World’s outermost soil can emerge as unproductive within 60 years if the current situation of loss continues.

Have you ever thought about how these agriculturists get rid of pests in their fields? Well here’s the answer. They use several chemicals and pesticides in their agricultural processes to increase the quantity of their outcome and to throw away pests. Although, the immoderate use of these pesticides and chemicals can lead to severe contrast in the microorganisms that are naturally present in the soil. Due to this, the maturation of dangerous bacteria enhances, and the possibilities of soil degradation increase enormously.

Sustainable Agriculture:

Whatever we are eating in our diets is somehow related to the successful product of agriculture. Every person from the farmers, waste manager, or agriculturists to the retailer distributor or customer in the food processing system plays a vital role in the process of victorious farming. Despite the negative impacts caused on the soil, agronomy within concerns for environmental farming performs a significant function in the procedure of ecological farming.

By utilizing the science of agronomy within concerns for environmental farming, one can produce a crop with less consumption of water, improved fertility of soil greater yield, and reduced production rate, which is caused in terms of using pesticides or herbicides. Agronomy provides a better field and more availability of food to more families. As a crop that is produced by biotechnology permits farmers to enhance their techniques and be part of the modern procedure of farming, by making the environment less populated and more farmed.

Fixation of environmental agricultural issue:

As we have discussed above the loss and damage that has occurred due to agriculture on the environment. In this regard, certain measures are taken as a solution to environmental agriculture concerns. The first one of these is related to the government, which needs to make some organizations, whose duties will be to put a check and regulate rules to inspect agricultural contamination.

Next up, and the most convincing solution to environmental agriculture is providing awareness and proper guidance to the farmers regarding modern agricultural methods and make them realize the adverse effect of pesticides on the ecosystem due to excessive use of them.

Conclusion:

Collectively, we can say that we have only one planet to live and that planet needs special attention and care towards its environment and surroundings. We should eliminate all the procedures and methods that are causing danger to the earth’s environment and focus on the solutions to these environmental and agricultural issues to build a clean and healthy atmosphere.
